As a Managing Director at Bourne Partners, Molly Bourne primarily executes assignments in the United States and analyzes firm investments. Prior to co-founding Bourne Partners in 2001 with the targeted thesis of consulting and investing in healthcare companies, she was a healthcare tax consultant for Arthur Andersen. Her practice focused on providing professional services to large hospital systems in the areas of merger and acquisitions, tax and joint ventures. She received a B.A. with honors in political science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a J.D. and a M.B.A. from Wake Forest University. She is a licensed attorney and a member of the N.C. State Bar and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
Molly labels her decision to work in healthcare “a family affair” that began with her great-grandfather who graduated from The North Carolina Medical College in Charlotte, N.C. in 1915, was a member of the Mecklenburg County Medical Society and served the citizens of the county throughout the early part of the 1900’s. She now happily represents the fourth generation of people in her family with a healthcare-focused career. Molly grew up in eastern North Carolina where her father has practiced Radiology for 40 years as a hospital-based physician.
Molly teaches Sunday School at Myers Park United Methodist Church and is a Board Member of Baby Bundles.
